| Abstract: | Complexity theory leads me to believe there is no recipe for business success but failure avoidance offers a potential solution for managers. For most firms survival is success. In this paper two business attractors are discussed and a methodology called the "Complexity Escalator" is proposed to operationalise these concepts. In nature the struggle to survive dominates, extinction is inevitable and success in the short term is just a fortunate by-product. |
