| Abstract: | Based on the experience of Jimao Building of 88-storey in Shanghai, this paper attempts to predict the behavior of piled raft foundation for Shanghai World Financial Center of 101-storey, such as the bearing capacity of pile and its increase with time, load-sharing between piles and raft, thickness of raft, settlement and theory of design of piled raft foundation. Finally, some comments on these two buildings have been made for examining the theory of super-long pile foundation design for super-tall building in Shanghai. | |
