| Abstract: | A comparison between a prototype storm recorded on 27 October 2002 in the instrumented NW Zeebrugge breakwater and the laboratory results of the storm reproduction under windless and windy conditions in the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (UPVLC) wind and wave tunnel provides good agreement with nominal wind velocity of 5 m/s, but with more dispersion in the prototype. In addition, video observation indicates that there is a similar behaviour in the overtopped water between the prototype and laboratory experiments with nominal wind velocity between 5 and 7 m/s. | |
