| Abstract: | Bleaching relaxation in PbS quantum dots of various sizes under different pump intensities has been studied. The observed bleaching relaxation features are explained in the context of the proposed spectroscopic model. The model takes into account transitions of excited charge carriers both in the system of quantum-confined energy levels and defect trap states of the dots. Characteristic times of direct electron-hole recombination, carriers trapping to defect states as well as cross-sections of “ground-state” and “excited-state” absorption of carriers can be evaluated from the experimental data using this model. | |
