Abstract:We have studied optical properties of nanoporous metal polaritonic crystal surfaces. Reflection spectra of such surfaces in the framework of the self-consistent electromagnetic multiple-scattering layer-KKR approach have been calculated. Two types of plasmon excitations on the surface of nanoporous polaritonic metal crystals were investigated: surface plasmon-polaritons excited at the planar surface of metal and Mie plasmons in the lattice of voids buried in metal just beneath the surface. Special attention has been given to the coupling effects between these two types of plasma oscillations.
