Abstract:The interaction of a single-wall carbon nanotube (CNT) with the external electromagnetic field has been investigated theoretically on the basis of the quantum kinetic equations for π-electrons in CNT. The quantum kinetic equations have been solved analytically by the perturbation method and the third-order polarisabiliy in CNT has been calculated. The comparison of the obtained results with the data of the pump-probe measurements has been performed. The good agreement with the experiment has been obtained.
