| Abstract: | We report here on the platelet surface morphology changes and platelet aggregation as a function of time after addition of 10-5 M ADP and 5·10-3 M H2O2 to cause reversible platelet aggregation by scanning force microscopy. Different stages of the platelet shape change from the initial formation of filopodes to slowly reverting back to discoid shape platelets were investigated. The periodical chain-like structure with irregular size of 40-55 nm and fiber structure with the width of ~ 3 nm on the filopodia surface were observed. Analysis of the activated platelet surface morphology reveals details of the cytoskeleton rearrangement. | |
