Abstract:A reduction of GeO2 towards Ge within GeO2 and SiO2-GeO2 thin films was studied. Spectral-luminescent features of the films were investigated. Luminescence with λmax=445 nm was observed for Ge-SiO2 films on excitation with the light of λ=280 nm.
