| Abstract: | A number of nanostructured phosphate-oxide composite materials based on titanium dioxide has been synthesized and investigated for photocatalytic applications. Aluminum phosphate AlPO4, titanium phosphate TiOHPO4 and hydroxyapatite Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2 were used as support materials for the deposition of nanocrystalline titanium dioxide. The enhanced photocatalytic activity of these composite materials is due to the combination of a very high specific surface, chemical stability, minimal concentration of recombination centers in mesoporous phosphate matrixes, and the presence of anatase-enriched titanium dioxide nanoparticles. |
