Abstract:We investigate the susceptible-infected-susceptible(SIS) model on complex network. By counting the number of paths from one node to another, we show that the epidemic threshold Kc must satisfy the relation Kc≥ ln(1 + 1/λ0), where λ0 represents the largest eigenvalue of the adjacent matrix of network. We also propose the new strategy for the immunization on complex networks.
