| Abstract: | For the purpose of evaluating availability and performance of the data assimilation, we developed two adjoint WAM codes which are capable of correcting the initial condition and/or the boundary condition as the control variables, respectively. Then, we applied them to the NOWPHAS wave observation data. In the paper, as one of the usages of the data assimilation method, we investigate the possibility to evaluate how much the data at each observation station can contribute to the improvement of the estimation accuracy with the model by introducing a few evaluation indexes. | |
