Abstract:Delft3D surfbeat model predictions of surf and swash zone water level and fluid velocity fluctuations are evaluated using field data (including dissipative and reflective conditions) and a large scale, laboratory dune erosion test. The simulated hydrodynamics compare well with measurements for the dissipative and dune erosion conditions.
