Abstract:Time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectroscopy (TOF-SIMS) was employed for elemental analysis of surface of multi-layered palladium sample with small amount of cesium. Substances with mass number 135 and 137 were newly detected by TOF-SIMS after deuterium permeation at 70°C. The result suggests production of an element with mass number 137 which would be produced from cesium by same low-energy nuclear reaction.
